Toshiba Qosmio X500, up to 8GB RAM
Toshiba unveiled its new notebook called Toshiba Qosmio X500, the first notebook to integrate a company that Intel Core i7 microprocessor.
With Intel’s Core i7 processor, the Qosmio X500 Series notebooks will take advantage of four cores of intelligent processing power, where it is aided by Intel’s Turbo Boost Technology while running on the latest Windows 7 operating system (which will be released sometime in October, of course). Intel’s Turbo Boost Technology will automatically enable the processor cores to run faster compared to the base operating frequency whenever it is operating below power, current and temperature specification limits, making it eke out maximum performance at all times. Apart from that, the use of ultra-fast DDR3 system memory, dual hard-drive configurations and NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250M graphics with 1GB of GDDR5 video memory makes this one drool-worthy computing companion that is able to handle just about any game you throw at it, where the Qosmio X500 will churn out lightning-fast frame-rates and spew hi-definition video and audio faster and more efficiently than ever with smooth rendering and encoding.
The 18.4-inch widescreen LCD make it not so portable. But it is oriented home entertainment computer with its Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels), a size that allows better enjoy the high definition Blu-ray offers. This is based on a nVidia GeForce GTX 250MNV one gigabyte, with a corresponding HDMI video output. Of course it also supports scaling to increase the native quality of DVDs.
Besides its two 500 gigabytes hard drives, the Qosmio X500 incorporates up to eight gigabytes of RAM. Within the wireless section has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, besides the memory card reader, three USB ports (active even with the computer off) and a hybrid USB and eSATA external hard drive. The webcam and microphone are integrated, while the stereo speakers are courtesy of Harman Kardon.
It will be available in the UK from October. They did not want to reveal the price yet to be this Toshiba Qosmio X500, but projected figures rather high in the case of a high performance model. Perfect for movies and games, although not the typical laptop you can carry anywhere.

Pure Digital has just unveiled the Sensia, a radio that connects to the Internet via WiFi and allows us to listen to all types of online stations, podcasts or even our own music. This make them call “A Radio for Facebook Generation”

Apple Tablet Rumors Persist
The story about Apple tablet come and go. From far away we hear conspiracy theories about their existence and characteristics. But this time seems to come from trustable sources within the industry. It is said that this Apple product, long rumored, will arrive in February 2010 with a series of features that will thrill all fans of the company.
It has 9.6-inch multi-touch screen, integrated HSDPA, and extra long battery life, that’s what we know so far of this possible tablet. It will cost between U.S. 799 and $ 999, which amounts to no less than euro 540 euros and no more than 680.
This information gained after the announcement that Dynapack International Technology Corporation has signed an agreement with Apple to supply 300,000 units of Extra Long batteries per month for the tablet. For its part, Wintek, manufacturers of the screens of the iPhone, also appear to have signed a similar agreement to produce the screens of the tablet.
For now, as usual, there is nothing confirmed. But as we say, this time the rumors are a bit more weight than usual.
