All In One D-Link DIR-685 Router
D-Link starts to ship its all in one Xtreme N DIR-685 router that introduced at CES
The device has built in Wi-Fi N module and a 3.2-inch LCD screen that lets you play video clips or used as a digital photo frame. The screen can also display the device status information through graphs and indicators. D-LINK SharePort role enables networked computers to share printers and other USB devices.
The display can also be programmed to display weather forecasts and other content from the Internet live stream. The device supports NAS server features UPnP and BitTorrent downloads. The content can be stored on a 2.5-inch SATA 1 TB optional drive which can be inserted into one side of the DIR-685. There is also a built-in FTP server that allows users access to documents, photos, music or other local or network content.
The router has two USB ports and two Gigabit Ethernet ports. Energy efficiency is guaranteed with the Energy Star specifications for savings up to 30 percent. A Wi-Fi Scheduler can turn off the Wi-Fi radio at a given time.
