Apple iMac 21.5 and 27 Inches Revealed

Apple has revamped its all-in-one desktop computer to new sizes: iMac 21.5 inches and iMac 27 inches. They also changes the aspect ratio, which passes of 16:10 to 16:9, with resolutions of 1920 x 1080 pixels (FullHD) for the 21.5-inch model and 2560 × 1440 pixels for 27-inch model. The panels also become LED.

The new iMacs feature Core 2 Duo processor 3.06 GHz Intel Core i5 and i7 2.66 to 2.8 GHz for high-end models. Yes, you read that right: Intel Core i5 and i7, which means 4 cores in an iMac. As for graphics power, depending on size and model we can opt for integrated 9400M graphics card, an ATI Radeon HD 4670 with 256MB of video memory or a Radeon HD 4850 with 512MB.

For connectivity, the new iMac has a FireWire 800 port, four USB 2.0 ports, an SD card slot, Mini DisplayPort and the usual visual and audio inputs. Also noteworthy was the hard drive up to 2 TB 7200 RPM and an impressive amount of RAM, 16 GB. As for Blu-Ray, the iMac does not have it.

The new iMac includes a wireless keyboard and the new Magic Mouse. It is Apple’s wireless mouse with multitouch technology. At present, this mouse is no longer an optional device, but as standard accessory.

The new iMac 21.5 inch cost 1049 Euros, while the iMac 27 inch model cost 1449 Euros minimum. For now, we have to wait a little longer to know all the customization options.
