PS3 Slim Release, The Thin Version of Sony Console
Sony has introduced PS 3 Slim. A lightweight version of the PlayStation 3 which is expected to reduce console price up to 299 Euros.
The PS3 Slim will come with 120 GB hard drive, but reducing its size by 33%, weight by 36% (5 to 3.2 kilograms) and energy consumption by 34%. Consequently, it will reduce its noise level when in operation. PS3 Slim, which will reach stores in September. Compare it with old PS3 with has 80GB hard drive, which so far cost 399 Euros.
What are technical differences between the old and the new model? Slim as the PS3 remains basically the same hardware (Blu-ray reader, HDMI output, two USB ports, Ethernet, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth), but includes a software easier due to two major absences: the compatibility with games of PlayStation 2 and the possibility of installing Linux.
