Samsung PL55 and PL70, New 12 Megapixel Compact Cameras
Samsung emphasizes the merit of the twelve megapixels. After introducing Samsung Pixon 12 mobile phone they extended its family by PL compact cameras serries. Formed so far by the PL50 and PL65, the series reach the magic figure of twelve megapixels compared to the “modest” ten of his younger sisters.
Both models have an optical zoom and 28 millimeters wide-angle lens. It also has smile detector software that make user able to capture his own image. Once the face is centered in the lens, the camera alerts to fire. For its part, PL70 also shot video at a resolution of 720 pixels in H.264 format, compared to 640 x 480, the PL55. Another difference is the size of their LCD screens. PL55 measure of the 2.7 inch, while that of the PL70 reaches three inches.
Both have HDMI output, which allows the passage of the signal to play high definition content on a device that integrates the same technology. Have ISO 3200 and offers several scene modes.
Be available in Europe starting next month. The prices is between 150 and 230 euros.
