Sharp Creates More Accurate Colors LCD
Based on the technology of the five primary colors, Sharp claims have developed a new LCD monitor that can accurately reproduce the true colors as human eye perceived . The new panel includes Sharp Multi Primary Color technology, which integrates its leaders-as-new image processing systems that add cyan and yellow to the usual three: red, green and blue. This combination is achieved by expanding the range of colors that can be played on screen.
According to Sharp, the new panel has 1080p Full HD resolution, a brightness of 450 candelas per square meter and a 2000:1 contrast.
The Japanese firm plans to show its new prototype in the next edition of SID 2009, which will take place during the first week of June in Texas, United States.
