Windows 7 For Sale On October 22
The new operating system from Microsoft, called Windows 7, will reach stores on October 22, according to an announcement the company. Replaced in the new computers to Vista, which was launched in January 2007.
The new operating system was in beta in January, since then have been reactions and suggested improvements that customers and partners to tailor the product to market needs.
Microsoft today announced that the definitive final version, called RTM (Release to Manufacturing) will be available the second half of July for manufacturers of computers. Since that time, the corporate clients who have a maintenance contract may provide the product. The version for the end consumer will be available October 22 in boxes in stores or preinstalled on new computers.
At the same time Microsoft announced that it soon will launch the update program with the participation of both computer manufacturers and distributors. This program will allow customers to buy your PC before October 22 with Windows Vista Home Premium, Vista Business or Vista Ultimate for free or low-cost version of Windows 7 when in the market.
The current system, Vista, has lasted less than three years, a normal period in the history of Microsoft, with the exception of the foregoing, the XP that was on the market nearly six years.
